What To Send
As a women and children centre, items that are regularly needed include underwear, bras, jeans, trainers, hygiene items, nail polish, hair brushes, lotions, small bags to fill with hygiene supplies, toys, art supplies, books and educational materials (specifically in Arabic, Farsi, and French). This list is not exhaustive so please do contact us before; we are always grateful for donations.
It is very important that everything donated to us is clean and in very good condition. Additionally, any underwear or socks donated must be new. Please take this into account before sending us items.
Send us an email, email@example.com, before mailing items so we can ensure it is something we can accept and for which we have a use. Thank you!
If you would like to arrange a donation drive to gather large quantities on our behalf, it is imperative that you contact us before you arrange an event. This is so we can discuss capacity at our warehouse, the items that we are in need of and to agree on the use of Becky’s Bathhouse logos as part of your event. We can not guarantee that we will accept large quantities of donations if this has not been discussed with us prior to any collection. The Bathhouse is primarily a space for delivering our operations and therefore we have limited space to store donations.
At this time, we do not have any connections with postal services, and are not able to organize large scale drop-off points for donations. If you wish to make a donation, we encourage you to look into the cost of mailing items to us, before gathering donations.
“I am so glad there is a place for women; they gave me and my children the necessary items such as shoes, clothes, dignity bags, and toys. The behaviour of the staff is very respectful and friendly. I really enjoy it there.”– Becky’s Bathhouse Guest from Afghanistan
